Data protection declaration

Information requirements under Article 13 DSGVO:

On this page we inform you about the extent to which your personal data is used, which is processed in connection with the use of this website and the establishment of contact.

Short information:

We use your IP address, with which you access our website, only in the technically necessary framework, in order to create the page and thus make a correct use possible. In addition, we only store your personal data if you communicate with us via the contact options provided.

IP addresses can uniquely identify the visitor of a website and can therefore also be used for profiling or tracking. We have therefore made sure that no unnecessary data flows to third parties, for example when integrating Google fonts, are generated.

Furthermore, we do not store any information about individual accesses to the contents of our website and do not use cookies.

Nevertheless, it should be noted that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) may be subject to security gaps.

Purposes of the processing

When you visit our website:

To make our website available, the system must temporarily store your IP address in order to deliver the website to your device.

When contacting us

We process your personal data, which you provide when contacting us (e.g. e-mail or name), exclusively for the purpose of your contact.

Collection and use of personal data

When you visit our website

We only store your IP address with which you access the IT systems operated by us to the extent that is technically necessary for the operation of the website. When you access our site, your terminal device initiates data processing, which essentially consists of the selection and provision of the desired information and is regularly terminated with the transmission to your terminal device. The processing of your IP address is technically unavoidable for the transmission. However, it is only temporarily stored for the purpose of page layout as long as the process requires it. Depending on your configuration, your browser also transfers additional data (such as browser type, browser version, operating system used, referrer URL). We use this data for a browser-specific presentation and end device-optimized provision of content. We do not use cookies.

(The project) films are integrated via YouTube, LLC. Viewing these films may generate additional user data, which will be forwarded to this provider and treated in accordance with its data protection regulation (within the framework of European agreements).

When contacting us

You can contact us using the contact options provided. If you wish an answer, you need to pass an electronic contact possibility. When contacting us, personal data is processed by the selected information technology system, e.g. when an e-mail is transmitted and received/stored.

Storage time

Your personal data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected:

When you visit our website

If the data is collected to provide the Web site, personal data is deleted when the relevant resource is delivered to your device.

When contacting us

In the case of contact, data is deleted when the conversation is over. The conversation is terminated when it can be inferred from the circumstances that the facts in question have been finally clarified. We only store your personal data if this is necessary to clarify your request.

Recipients or categories of recipients of personal data

Recipients of personal data are contractors who host information technology systems on our behalf for the purpose of operating our communication channels. This website is hosted by Aixzellent (Aachen).

Legal basis of the processing

When you visit our website

The processing of your personal data to the extent mentioned above is based on the legal basis of Article 6(1)(f) DSGVO. It is necessary to protect our legitimate interests, namely to operate a website for information purposes as part of our public relations work for the CONVERGE project.

When contacting us

For the processing of personal data within the framework of establishing contacts, we refer to our legitimate interests in accordance with Article 6 paragraph 1 letter f DSGVO in order to process your establishment of contact.

Your rights, as far as we process your personal data

Right of objection

You can object to the processing of your personal data within the framework of contacting us and any subsequent conversation at any time, with the consequence that from this point in time no further processing will take place. The conversation can then not be continued.

You can send your objection in writing or electronically to the contact option indicated.

Right to cancellation or restriction of processing

Under the conditions of Articles 16, 17 DSGVO, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data or in any case the restriction of processing. For example, if you do not wish to continue a conversation and object to processing, you can also request deletion of the personal data processed up to that point. We usually delete automatically at the end of a conversation.

Right to information

You have the right to request information about your personal data stored by us.

Right to correction

You have the right to request correction of your incorrect personal data stored by us.

Right to data transferability

You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you from us in a structured, current and machine-readable format and, if technically feasible, to request transmission to another responsible.

Right of appeal to a supervisory authority

You may contact a supervisory authority if you wish to complain about the processing of your personal data, without prejudice to judicial remedies. In Saarland, this is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Fritz-Dobisch-Str. 12, 66111 Saarbrücken. A complete list of supervisory authorities can be found on the websites of the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BfDI).
